Ataraxia’s skyward honesty from the stars to her heart
Within the stars
Within your heart
You don't ever wanna play that part
Tell me now to come back around
Gotta change before I hit the ground
This may feel impossible
But you get through impossible
Within the stars
Within my heart
I don't know where to start
Now I'm starting to see
The rip in the seam
I know it's disappointing
That I can't just leave
See, beneath
Everything
Emotions, motives
Positive, negative
Within the stars
Within your heart
You don't ever wanna play that part
Tell me now to come back around
Gotta change before I leave this town
This may feel impossible
But you get through impossible
Within the stars
Within my heart
I don't know what's my part
Now they're looking at me
To think logically
Am I really happy?
Or am I making my peace
Hurt, upset
Emotionless
It's worse, it's best
It's all a mess
Within the stars
Within your heart
You don't ever wanna play that part
Tell me now to come back around
Gotta change before I hit the ground
This may feel impossible
But you get through impossible
Within the stars
Within your heart
You know exactly who you are
Behind the Scenes
In most of my songs, it starts off as a random melody and I sing whatever comes to mind. I didn’t quite know what I was singing about until I finished the lyrics to the chorus and realized it concerned problems with a connection I had at the time. After that, the verses followed suit. Half of the lyrics were written on a road trip, the other half were finished at home right before I moved away.
What’s written in the stars is a mystery at that. Some things fall apart for a multitude of reasons, either unknown or right in front of you. You hurt so much that it feels impossible to be able to breathe again. This song was me trying to see what was really hiding underneath the carpet and what the next step I, within my heart, really wanted to take. And, still, to this moment, it is a mystery.
